Solo                                               Written by Amy Hindman

6/14/2015

 Summer 1980

Restless times for love & wishin’ I could sleep beside a man  that’s not like all the others
not just casual intimacy

Chorus: Strangers in a strange land indeed
who are you who is me
and why can’t we come together
we’re fillin’ a void that only gets wider
acting as if we both really care
yet still I’m sittin’ here today
watchin’ the sun play on the bay

Alone at home just a pen and my thoughts
high tide singin’ strong
fire’s cracklin’, lanterns low – wish I had a beau
just someone to share with – just to be there with
to hold me when I’m low
